Smoked Picanha Steak is a flavorful and delicious way to enjoy this popular Brazilian cut of beef. The smoking process imparts a rich smoky flavor to the steak, while the seasoning adds a nice spicy kick. This dish is ideal for a special occasion or a weekend barbecue.

Instructions

  • Preheat the smoker to 275 degrees Fahrenheit (135 degrees Celsius).
  • To make the seasoning, combine the salt, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper.
  • Rub the seasoning all over the Picanha steak, ensuring that it is evenly coated on all sides.
  • Fill the smoker's wood chip tray halfway with wood chips.
  • Close the lid on the smoker and smoke the seasoned steak for 2-3 hours, or until the internal temperature of the steak reaches 135°F (57°C) for medium-rare.
  • Allow the steak to rest for 10-15 minutes before slicing against the grain and serving.
