Instructions

  • In a mixing bowl, combine salt, brown sugar, black pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  • Cover the ham in a large plastic bag with the spice mixture.
  • Refrigerate for at least 24 hours after sealing the bag.
  • Preheat the smoker to 225 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Remove the ham from the bag and rinse it with cold water to remove any excess spice mixture.
  • Place the ham on the smoker for 4-6 hours, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F.
  • Allow to rest for 10 minutes after removing from the smoker before slicing and serving.
