Smoked Brisket Recipe

This Smoked Brisket recipe is ideal for any occasion, from family reunions to backyard barbecues. The spice rub adds a delicious flavor to the brisket, and the slow smoking process keeps it tender and juicy.

Ingredients

Time Needed

  • Prep Time: 15 minutes
  • Cook Time: 12 hours
  • Total Time: 12 hours, 15 minutes

Instructions

  • In a mixing bowl, combine all of the spices.
  • Apply the spice mixture to the brisket.
  • Wrap the brisket in plastic wrap and place it in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.
  • Set up a smoker for indirect cooking at 225°F with hickory or oak wood.
  • Place the brisket on the smoker grates and smoke for 10 to 12 hours, or until the internal temperature reaches 200°F.
  • Remove the brisket from the smoker and set aside for 30 minutes before slicing and serving.
